I have a fabulous pikeseason this year and from time to time i get a really pretty one.(as much as pike can be pretty

)
But when i descale them i always get pathes where the scalepockets come lose and creates white patches
![Sad :(](http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/Smileys/default/sad.gif)
I have tried a lot so far,fresh from the water(best),waiting (not so good)descaler,sharp knife,dull knife etc.
Do anyone have a good way or am i doomed to bring out my forceps and pick a scale at the time?
Most other fish is easy but pike seems to have delicate complexion...
