Twin Oaks Hickory - "trouble"

Well I started this bow and everything was going great. Then due to my lack of knowledge, I decided to flip the tips using Heat instead of steam, and that is when the "trouble" started. 
She has had 7 different sets of tip overlays due to I got the bottom limb tip too thin. Mark gave me the Idea to make over size tip over lays to reinforce the tips. Well they kept popping up, so I decided to use Osage and wrapping the ends with artificial sinew. this has been holding. short the TN Classic with it and all good still..
The bottom limb is 2 1/4 shorter then the top due to the thinness, but she shoots like a dream and there is like 0% hand shock.

Still shooting  Looks good from here,I know you shoot it well and that is what really matters,love to have a full draw with you drawing instead of on the tree if you get the chance. See ya this weekend.

I was actually thinking that these big (long) overlays is the reason for them popping off so often. Since they are so long, they start to bend at the bow tips unfold approaching full draw. With shorter, say 2", tip overlays, I think they would have held from the beginning. I do really like these long tip overlays though! They're just more suited for a bow with non-working tips.
The upper midlimb seems rather stiff. Perhaps the bow stacks less when you get some more movement in this limb...

I think perhaps you meant that the lower limb is stiff midlimb? That's what my eyes see anyway...

Sounds like it chucks an arrow though, and that's all that really matters! You did a nice job finishing her up.

I meant the limb on the right hand side, when drawn on the tiller tree. I guessed that was the upper limb, but I could be wrong.
