Osage haul

So I cut some osage today. Looks pretty decent. Nice and fairly straight. I think it got struck by lightning awhile ago. It's solid still though

Looks like some nice stuff. How are the rings?

Good looking haul, congratulations. As hard as Osage is to get in Florida rings don't bother me at all. Kinda like low and high elevation Yew, it still bends.

It's mostly fairly tight ringed. It was free. Can't complain

Nice haul.  Looks like it split fairly easy.  Every big osage tree I've cut has had those natural splits inside.  Did it have ants living inside of it?
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

One small spot with ants. It has one spot with a big ok hole where it grew over a dead branch. I'm gonna try and use it. The guy has toms of I. Said the first one is free and then I could buy a couple. We never discussed a price but I don't see it being too ridiculous

So here's some of it. A couple of then ain't the purdiest, but u shoulda saw what I started on. So I think there's a bow in each. They are 6'8" long. So I have a little wiggle room. The one with the sapwood in the center of the pile has no knots or anything. And is fairly straight. Gotta finish up the rest.

Hey, its better than the osage stash you had before this one!

Yeah, I'm already scheming to cut more! I know a few other places around and a few I need to check out.
