Knife Trade
« on: March 28, 2014, 03:26:55 pm »
Here's the knife I traded for 'Cold Snake'... the (snake skin) maple backed ipe static recurve. http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,45616.msg619152.html#msg619152

It's a Greg Lightfoot flipper folder called a Bullwhip. CF scales, with a 'Lightning Strike' CF one-sided bolster. I had some free time today, so I made a water formed leather horizontal carry friction sheath for it, with a mini tek lok attachment.

I'm pretty flattered with the trade. He's also big into stick bows and he contacted me thru my website, and he was interested in a trade. Needless to say, we came to an agreement!

This is a direct link, but he only makes knives, so I hope this is OK (if not, please delete)... but check out his work... he makes excellent knives. He's more into the tactical side of things, if that's your cup o' tea.

I agree. And this would be the ONLY way I could afford one of his knives. His waiting list is also a year. My wife would likely skin me with it if I bought one of his knives!

Never know... it's worth asking. Greg and I have become good friends as a result of this trade. He lives 3 hours west of me. Never knew he existed. I'm heading out there this weekend to enter a 3D shoot with him. I think he's looking forward to kicking my butt with my bow! Maybe I'll have to cut off one of his fingers with his knife to even it up!
