Nock Point Question
« on: September 29, 2013, 02:53:36 pm »
Do you guys just use the metal clamp type nock points on your strings?  Or do you just use an indicator like a different color wrap right above nock point?  I don't think I want to use the metal clamp type on a primitive bow and would rather keep it as natural as possible even though Im using B50 string.

I'm with you...
I usually tie some waxed nylon lacing cord (it's a bit like artificial sinew) to build up a little bump above and below where the arrow nocks.
Sometimes, I just tie the top one.

I use servingthread and do a whipknot,
The beauty of that is if you dont tighten the knot too hard and leave the tags a bit long you can finetune  it by twisting it up or down like its threaded.
When you are happy just tighten and trim.
It's better to ask and look like a fool than not to ask and remain one...
