I got 2 crock pots at an estate sale for $3, cook my glue in there in the garage, don't bother my wife a bit

I cook mine the same way Bubby does.  I use the crock pot liners so there is no mess when I'm done.

You should try making your own glue with the scraps.  It adds a little "something extra" to a sinew backing.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

If you don't find a taker your dog will love you even more if you give them to him(her).  ;)
I got a crock pot from GoodWill for $5 that I use for hide glue.

I'd be happy to trade for the scraps. How much are we talking about? A half ounce, or much more than that?

Not sure what I'd offer though. I could make you a little pouch out of wool? Or maybe pay for the shipping?
