salutations from Tennessee
« on: August 02, 2013, 10:59:48 pm »
Dont know if this is the exact place for a intro but didnt see a intro thread, if not I appolgise in advance, just wanted to take a quik minute to say hey at everyone & offer up a wave of the hand, been tinker'n with bows since I was a kid, been a die hard recurve guy for the last 10 or so years of it, nothin quite like a stick & string.

More or less stumbled across this place, had a look around & have to say I  find the site to be very interest'n, lots of good info to be found & the local tribe seems to be tollerant , peacefull & respectfull.

Just a tip of the hat.

Welcome to the fire, Apples.  You anywhere near Clarksville?  There is a Primitive Archery Addiction Counseling Center there.  It's a very peaceful place with highly qualified, kind hearted staff.  Even the name is designed to put your mind at ease, it's called the Twin Oaks Archery Club.

Go read the "Life is Good" thread, lotsa pics of recovering bowaholics there.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Never tried to make a bow but realy want to learn, I'm serious OCD about do'n things 100% & all the "how to" info on here was one of the biggest reasons I registered, dig me some learn'n rite.

Have been eyeball'n the Twin Oaks tribe for a while, figured they mite have plenty of insight to offer a greenhorn like myself, I live about an hour west of Chattanooga so Clarksville aint so far up the road.

Ya ...............I've been to that TN Classic thing  a couple of times..... Love'd every minute of it.  Goin be there next year if they'll have me, but I've got to get to some of those other gathering, eg Elm Hall and the likes.  All seems to be good times.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?
