Thanks Parnell, they shoot pretty well I was shooting bamboo arrows with 3"maple foreshafts for a total of 28" with a sharpened point, stuck in the bank and my foreshaft came out, zips one but I could only shoot 10 yards at the spot I was in, looking forward to shooting it a little more, gotta wrap the arrow or something so I don't overdraw it.  Feels like it could go a little farther, but I'm happy with 18"

Finished!  "Ch'wehl Qalxene" means 'Fire Hawk' in Hanis Coos. 



Had to do a little re-tillering as the sinew dried but hopefully that's over with after being shot in pretty well, even with quite a few strokes taken off it ended up 42# @ 18".  Didn't go with the Salmon skins, have to try that on the next one, this one needed to be done for the Journey so I just painted some Coos designs on it(tried to copy the Allely replica bow in our culture dept., with a little of my own flair)  and finished it over with some Helmsman Spar Urethane.  Not sure how the sinew will dry with that stuff on there, but it seemed to go on fine and hopin for the best.  Sure is hard to paint on sinew, had to tape it off, no wonder most guys rawhide over it if they're gonna paint...Anyways, put some mystery fur on the tips and outside the elk leather grip after looking at a picture of a Lower Umpqua man and his bow circa 1880-1900.  Two arrows to go with it, stone points( I didn't knap), Cedar and Doug Fir shafts recycled from our historic Tribal Hall trim, one of the only ones left in the US.  Pine pitch(over superglue  )  I don't really want to see it go, but alas, it'll make someone happy.  Sorry about the fuzzy cam and lack of full full draw, 1 2 3 click was the best I could do   Thanks for looking.
