I have never used Huberd's, but I am guilty of mixing pine resin, a little bees wax and bacon grease. It does a great job waterproofing. It also attracts every cat and dgo within smelling distance.

I've used hand rubbed bear fat for bow finish and bear fat, bees wax and pine pitch as a leather dressing so I see no reason to not use that mixture. I will say that there are other, better choices for a bow finish.

Nope, never used this. I will say that I've tried grease as a finish and it attracts dirt like a magnet. I prefer natural waxes like beeswax or lanolin in place of the grease.

Bees-wax.
10 ounces for 5 bucks.
Can't beat that. Plus I use it on bowstrings too.

Thank you for all the feed back, I have only used it on a few arrows so far just to try it.
