Rawhide/Hickory Backing Questions

I tried the iron method and I could not get my iron cool enough so it was cooking the rawhide.  I went to the heat gun and that worked better.

I think your switch must be gone on the Iron, Steve. If it doesn't go cool enough for that , how do you Iron your silk boxers? Might be a case for potential electrical fire.
