Like I said in that hackberry bow thread I was posting, hackberry has really varied for me. Not just in density but in color. The light stuff has been really light colored and physically light as well. The denser stuff typically is a darker grey color. As well as the hackberry that has those blue colorations through out it seems to be denser as well. The denser grey stuff is what I like, it will take considerably less set than the lighter stuff. Although, I think all woods can vary alot, even osage. These are my findings,
