Pine tar in a can?

Saw some pine tar in a can at feed store. Will this work to make some pitch? I can't seem to find any sap on the trees around here and was wanting to try and make some. What do you guys think?

That pine tar has ingredients in it that keeps it from solidifying. Not good for pitch glue.
