Will these horns work for ELB horn nocks?

Will these horns work for ELB horn nocks? They look like they are spitting between the layers, is this normal? I've never made elb horn nocks from raw horn, so I don't know... These are supposed to be 3" - 5" long.

"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

- Tao Te Ching, 77, A new translation by Victor H. Mair

Sometimes cow horns will do that.I have not seen gemsbok or water buffalo do it yet.I would say they would be ok yet as long as the very center is'nt split any.Have fun.

I don't think you'd really know until you tried one. I'd be a bit concerned with the layer seperation.
