Massive ceder log, can i use it?

A massive log of ceder(western) fell last night in a wind storm. the log is probably close to 10 or more inches at the base and around 6 at the top. I was thinking. if i split and cut it up could i get some nice arrows out of it? it was around 20 feet long! and i have a few other smaller logs that fell as well. more like 4 inches. I really dont want to just chip it or burn it if i can use it!

also, can the bark be used for anything? maybe even backing a bow? ( i wish i could just wish it into yew right now lol.)

Western cedar is too soft  and weak in bending to make arrows, unless  maybe 3/8" in diameter  or larger.

BTW, that massive log is a twig, as far as western cedars go. They can be 200 feet tall and up to 16 feet in diameter. Maybe you were being funny???

well its much bigger at the base, this one is probably close to 100 or more feet tall and is around 6 feet in diameter. I meant the tip of it broke off  ::) just thought i should ask what i can do with it! seems like such a waste! all i know is that it looks like this: http://www.nwplants.com/business/catalog/thu_pli.html

Howdy,   I've made arrows out of old western red cedar fence posts.   I think the wood is strong for its weight, but it's light wood.  Make your arrows fairly wide to obtain usable spine.   Ron

 :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( The city clean up took it! it wasnt even in the road! should i go after them and ask for it back? it probably had nearly 300-500 arrows in it if i worked hard to get them.
