my first "real arrow"
« on: October 10, 2007, 07:14:42 pm »
i made a "real" arrows. it is 30" long with a slate look alike head not really sure what it is, but it doesnt work as good as real slate.
the fletchings are left wing turkey feathers.

i love this arrow i am more accurate with this than any other. now i understand why the arrow is so much more important than the bow when it cames to accuracy.

i used the last of my feathers so now back to duct tape :( ;)

Jamie-i will try to get a better pic of the point. the arrow is no more i broke it though so i need to make a new one! i hit the plywood rim of my target!  ;)
so much for being accurate :D. actually it held up pretty well i might be able to fix the point and the shaft ony broke off about an inch.

mullet-take your time with it im in no hurry. thanks alot about the slate and feathers i'll go on a arrow making rampage ;D thanks for everything.

this weekend im going hunting for the first time with my bow!!!! it will be for squirrels dont know if i'll be able to hit anything but it will be fun.

thanks for the comments.
