Flatbows

Does anyone know how flatbows spine as compared to longbows? Do they need a stiffer spine like a recurve?

It all depends on the width of the grip, that's to say, how close you make it to centre shot.
the closer to centre shot the stiffer the spine you can use.
Brace height can also effect it a bit.
IMO having the arrows underspined causes less trouble than overspined.
Adjusting the arrow pass and bracing height can make a big difference, and is IMO an important part of finishing a bow.
I tend to tune all my bows to shoot the same arrows, rather than picking different arrows to suit the bows.
