I have a question for you Briar, what was the starting dimensions for the belly taper?  I'm working on one that is very similar, just a bit shorter at 64".  I'm just unsure on what to start it at.  I'm looking at a 50#@28".

No criticism from me.Nice looooong draw on er too.Very nice bow tip to tip,and i've made a bunch of bows out of old hick.My second most fav wood so far that is.Your father's gonna smile in and out all over.

I was fortunate enough to see this bow in person while getting some newbie instruction. All I can say is "wow!". The pics dont do it justice. Nice job, Briar. Hope to get back up that way soon.

I want to shoot your Dad's bow!  Looking at that makes me want to go to the shop and start on a LONG bow for a change.  I bet it shoots sweet.  Tiller looks great and that sure is pretty country.

Thanks again folks.
Soy, I felt the tips were to thick but I didn't want to grind off the little patch on walnut on top. Wound up being pretty happy with it after the finish was on.
