The bow looks good. 

That being said is the grain wrong around the handle and arrow rest.  From the pics it looks like it's going the wrong way.

It was a board that had some decent grain in the bendy part, also there is some stain on the front that brings out the grain.

One thing I have noticed it kinda shoots slow at least I feel it does, any way to improve

Maybe it's a fundamental flaw on my understanding.  But shouldn't the grain run about ninety degrees off of what you have?  I thought the grain was suppose to run straight down the side of the bow not the back.  Or am I wrong in this thinking?

In a board bow, that is OK, it's quarter sawn which also works great for bows.
