Corn rope deer blind
« on: October 15, 2012, 10:29:48 am »
Yep no place to set the bow when you sit in a corn row. So my solution is to take the leaf of a couple of corn plants and make a bow stand. This was a new setup for me and before night fall I had deer all over me shot twice missed twice (this is the short story). It is great having deer just feet away and them not being able to see you. I waited for the perfect shot on the thrid shot but it never came together. Tales form Iowa enjoy the pictures.

Love your cornage you twisted. Sounds like you will get your deer, thanks for the short story.

That's a really good idea!  I love seeing what people can do with what nature provides rather than going out and buying some gadget to do the same thing.

John you are innovative as heck.  I have had terrible luck shooting at deer out of standing corn.  They catch movement every time for me.  That or I brush something, that dry corn is soooooo noisy.  Anyway, good luck next time out.

Well...not everyone.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
