Another beauty BB. I enjoy all of your bows. Cool story too, ive yet to take a turkey with one of my bows but I figure my day will come eventually.

Greg, that is a sweet bow.  Your finish work always stands out to me.  Another stunning meat making machine.  Hope your lucky bro brings some winged ones down with that one.

Thanks once again folks, it's nice to get these compliments on the bow from a group of such great bowyers. Since I started posting here a couple months ago everyone has been very friendly and outgoing, I really like this group and posting bows and getting feedback has been
as much fun as building em'.

I like it alot as well. I have a few pieces of hackberry in the shed I been eye ballin and you may have just made up my mind for me on which stave to start on next. I have yet to do one in hackberry but have one to floor tiller and it sure seems elastic. Has that been your experience too?
I realize that my next question can vary from tree to tree, but what type of dimensions in terms of belly thickness and fade width works for you with a 50-55#  hackberry bow at about 62" length?

Hey Danny I just measured my hackberry bow that is 62" and its 1 1/2"  wide at the fades & 1 3/8" mid limb width. Thickness is 3/4" at
fades to 5/8" at midlimb. This isn't the bow I have posted but its the sister stave to that one and looks nearly the same. The posted bow
that my brother has may be 1 5/8" wide at fades. I think many guys go wider with hackberry . I've only built four from hackberry and
the other two were about 1 3/8" wide bendy handles. Hackberry will be thicker in the limbs per pound of draw weight than you would
expect so I would start a little thick and work down. Hope this helps you.
