Beauty of a bow. Perfect tiller. I love the way ash looks after it is finished, I think ash is a very nice looking wood. Maple too. My first couple bows were of ash I believe, so I think I am partial bows,  ;D. I think if it is finished right it can have an almost transparent quality to it.
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

My friends, I am very glad that you like it. It seems a good bow, will wait for review.  ;)
sawyer, yes it is pith. This bow was made off sapling, as most of my bows. It is hard to adze large staves and my bandsaw is still dead.
Pearls drums, Joe Gibbs and Jaro Petrina makes 140-150# warbows off ash, HJH 150#+... European ash is very strong and good. Soon I will go to higher draw weights.
Lesken, yesterday I was pulling 140# 30" black ash so this is was not too heavy.  ;)
Elemental, I broke more bows at full draw (including warbows  >:D ) than many off us will make in total .  >:D No fear, just repeat No fear and pull further...  ;D ;D ;D

Druid, that is awesome.  I would be afraid of tearing up my shoulder.  I guess you have the technique down...and roughing out staves with an adze probably gets you ready to pull on something like that.  ;)

White ash here is a good average. Field ash has exceptional qualities. I did ash 110 # 30 "before the time from ash/Fraxinus angustifolia/, which is a beast.
Druid, a very good bow. Greetings.
