all bamboo bow
« on: June 27, 2012, 07:31:24 pm »
Just got my  U-Finish, all-bamboo bow from Rudderbows and a little disappointed.  Needed more filing and sanding than I was expecting.  Nock were not cut evenly but wont mess with them 'till I can get her strung (elbow surgery) and see how the string lays.  Took 4 months to get it and several phone calls.  Just hope it shoots good!

I have succesfully made a few bows but have never messed with bamboo or any other type of composite bow.  If it shoots as well as it's advertise, I may have to try building one.

Will let you know how she shoots when Doc releases me from all restrictions.  Should be in a couple of weeks  :-\.

I bought the all bamboo kit from rudder, a couple years ago. It shoots awesome and somehow survived a house fire. Still shoots great!!!

I purchased the E-book.  Skimmed it and did my Own thing for an all Bamboo Recurve.  Making the string tonight.
