I found this GEM in my grandpas shed, I have never seen one of these before but I sure wish I had when I was smithing...

Anyone have any idea what you call it, where its made, and how much it might be worth?

Its rusty but everything works just fine.

I know some of you slightly cured and mellowed gents have seen these before...

Brother that's a Beauty!

See if this matches your Blacksmith Vice Anvil.

1914 ADJUSTABLE BLACKSMITH VISE ANVIL.
Overall length is about 23" (closed), overall height is about 8", the jaws are 3 3/4" wide, weight is about 45 pounds . The anvil has a 3/4" square Hardy Hole , it's marked on one side "PATENTED SEPTEMBER 22 1914".

O man how I would love to have one of them to go with my old drill press,very cool find.

:)I love it. Now you can lube and fix it up and it will be ready for a new productive life.
