adding reflex??
« on: May 02, 2012, 09:48:59 pm »
How late is too late to add reflex to osage? I have this 65" NTN osage, wide and flat design, that Im going to have to heat up to get the string centered at some point and I was thinkin about adding some reflex to the tips also. I have the bow tillered to 60lbs at 25" now, and am shooting for 60ish lbs at 27". Is it too late to add reflex? If not what is the preferred method at this point? heat gun or steam? Thanks in advance.

I'd go with the heat gun at this point.  Build yourself a caul from a scrap chunk of pine and slowly toast in some reflex.

If possible, shoot it thru a chronograph before and after just for the giggles.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
