Get some good hardware dowels buddy. Im not even sure POC is made that light? It seemes 30-35 may be the low limit.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Yeah that what I've found out... I've use 5/16 poplar dowels for dozens of arrows, but I never spine them... They seem to fly very well, I just wanted to go fancy and make a matched set for a new bow I made...

I may have some OLD 60's or 70's youth arrows in the shop. You would have to sand them down bare and start over. Some are orange, blue, green , yellow, white and all. It may be more work than its worth to be honest with you. Do get that low of a spine on what I assume is a very short arrow, you may need to drop to 1/4" hardwood dowells. Or you can get some 50 grit and sand some 30-35's down 5-8#'s.
