I used this stuff and it does work. I had originally thought it was terrific, but after experimenting with other options I have found that it is decent, but only that. There are some GREAT options that are every bit as cheap and easy to apply with vastly superior results.

If you are dead set on this tape then I used TBIII when I used to use it and it works perfectly, as will TB II (but without the waterproofing aspect).

I would not use FG TAPE. I got FG Cloth. When epoxy was added to it to glue it on, it becomes translucent. NOT TRANSPARENT, but the wood color shows through.
Bowmakers are a little bent, but knappers are just plain flaky.
