butt joining bamboo for bow core?

Well I lost my source for 72" verticle grain carmelized bamboo flooring. 

I want to try and make a bamboo cored ELB looking thing. Fantasy bow.

What is the best way to join the short boards in the middle?

I consider making my favorite R/D bow as a tri lam with bamboo core and hickory belly also.

DEFINITELY a scarf joint of some variety.  A butt joint would certainly blow apart under the strain.  You might ought to look into a very long or sharp angled finger joint.

Ahh...

that will take me up to 68" bows but what about an ELB type thing?  Can you have two joints about center..... with flexing going on there?
