Thanks again ,I appreciate the comments. adb it is a type of Elm,it has things that look like wings on the limbs, pretty easy to spot.Any time Hammertime, love to have you. Jude what part of NY is that ? I have 3 buddy's coming down from just North of Buffalo Monday for a week. A piece just might make it's way back if you are close.  :) :)

Gosh, can't believe it's been a week since I looked at this post!  Thanks for the sentiment Pappy, but I live about 4 hours east of Buffalo, so it would probably be a little out of their way.  Besides, I'm deployed and my wife might not know what to think of strange men showing up at the house to drop off wood  :D   Then again, she's been married to me for 16 years, so likely nothing will surprise her ;D

Thanks John,I miss a lot here also.Elm is a good wood, just have to treat it a lot like Hickory/and other white woods as far as keeping it dry while you are working on it. :)other than that it is tough and springy. :) :)

Howdy Pappy,

Again, really nice bow.  I like the handle and arrow rest, the gentle R/D limbs, and I like the overall simplicity.  To me, it's an ideal huntin' weapon.

Thanks for sharing,

Thanks Canoe and Steve you are right, it is for some reason the quietest bow I think I have ever built, It may be the weight of the wood, not sure but it is very quite. :)

This bow makes things around it quieter!! Along with the absence of shock, you have to check the target to be sure you ever shot the bow! ;D
Just remember, you can't put the wood back on.
