point from skunk river knapin

Sweet point.  Looks a little bigger than your usual. Deep notches too, looks like they have squared edges on them.  oh yeah, I love the picture too, the train, cord and mirror w/ the point, real artist.

I am at a railroad crossing between New London and Danville, IA. I meet John Whittaker, the guy who  wrote the book "American Flint Knappers" I only remember the first name of the other people so I will just list them by first, Les, Dave from Des Monies, Joe from ceder rapids, Kevin from Minneapolis, and a lot of other people.  It was the fist time I ever went to a knapin, it is hard to decide what to do when you there. The question is do I work on a point and ask questions about issues or watch others work.  I did a little of both.

i went to a knappin and i was in a whole other world. i had so much fun i could not stop looking and trying toabsord everything at the same time.
