My First Functional Arrowhead!
« on: September 15, 2011, 05:18:24 pm »

I finally made an arrowhead that will stay on my stick and I just thought I would share. I had a can of corned beef hash this morning and thought I'd keep the top and  make an arrowhead out of it. Its actually attached with gorilla glue and dental floss (  not gonna use it as bowstring anymore). Yea. I'm gonna make about ten more while I'm at it.

man what's with you and floss ???, that otta work, but next time dont twist the floss, just wrap a single strand, it will make a smoother transition, Bub
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.

Have you thought about taking bone and filing it to a point and beveling the edges. I think the single strand floss or artificial sinew singled wrapping would take out the bulk and be more stream line transition down the shaft.

That would be awesome! But I just don't have sinew (not yet at least)  and I haven't gone to the local market yet to check if they have cow leg bone (which I doubt).  :-\ But who knows? Maybe they'll surprise me and actually have something useful.
