First Boo/Ipe bow
« on: September 11, 2011, 02:05:09 pm »
This is my first  Ipe bow bamboo backing , and tell them what I did for 3 days. Sunday split bamboo, glued it in Monday, two days dry, on Thursday began work on the bow, lacquered yesterday it first hand, the second this morning ....
The bow is 193 cm, from thread to thread 74 "- 32x24mm  the handle and 11x12mm at the tips. Set 2 / 3 inch.
I wanted more light and pleasant to shoot but the ...  :o  Because I have never done this, this material is unknown to me and in my typical style, took a bow around 100-110 lbs 32 "strength. :)  This is expected ... the bow is actually legal in these sizes and I guess explain things ..
