I was feeling it!

So I just jumped all over this piece of Ky blue. It is my second to last piece of wonderful rock. ( Shannon you need to find some more) ;) Been working on fluting. Can't seem to get two good ones on the same piece, but I'll figure it out.

The little tan piece is from some perds I got from Cowboy. It's a sweet heart, but still just one good flute.

Sweet paleo's ! I'm a Texan I love Texas rock. Nice work I haven't mastered fluting. I would love to sit down & learn from someone.

Tower, I still struggle a lot with direct percussion on flutes. I used indirect on them now and am having better luck. I'll try to get some pics of what tools I use later today. Maybe that will help you.

Nice points!  A lot of the ancient Clovis knappers had the same trouble of running the second flute as long as the first.  All you need to do is put the pretty side up in the display case.

Looks good Tim! I ain't there yet, Don't have the courage to waste a good point. Sure can appreciate the talent it takes to make one though.

great work tim. guys ,all fluting is is a thinning flake. if you set up a good ridge and proper platform, its no different than doing overshot flakes from the side. what i hate is all the length i lose setting up the second platform
