Yup, Pat is correct. Its an wood arrow straightner. Stick with a brass cup hook holder screwed in. Used by rubbin' on high spot of bend where it raises heat and compresses fibers of wood thereby straightening wood shaft. Used ta use it when I shot wood arras some years ago.
