2011 trail cam pics. (For everyone)
« on: July 13, 2011, 04:34:08 pm »
Here are a few pics off one of my cameras that I checked yesterday. Haven't been in to get the one by the elk spot but had some good bucks on this one and a dandy bear.  This spot is where I got some pics of the monster buck last year.  Though I have several dandy bucks it hard to tell if any of them are the big one from last year.

And this was last years big one.

That looks nice Keenan! I can almost feel the cooler temps and smell the evergreens from here.

Nice. I am about to do the same thing. Your pics are nicer set in the woods like that. My Texas pics all have feeders in them...and hogs instead of bear. Cool.

Boy, I'd like to stick that bear. Is that a Reindeer or Caribou in the last picture? ;D

Just got off the phone with the game officer. Unfortunately they consider salt or apple jelly a consumable substance and it's considering baiting. However he did state that I can hunt the surrounding area just not over the salt lick where the tree stand is.   ::) So now the plan is take a friend and just make sure I can out run the friend or shoot my friend in the foot if the bear comes after us >:D

Cool pics Keenan. Are those mulies?  :o     We've had a blast with our trail camera.  I just recently placed it on a new salt block I just put in late this spring. I hadn't checked the salt lick in a while and when I did there was a big track right in it. I placed the camera up 2 weeks ago and when I checked last week there was only one pic on it so I left it alone. I'll check it this weekend and see who's visited.  ;)

Yes Pat they be mulies, Here are some of a camera that was a little deeper in the woods. New camera and first setting and a bear decided to try to eat the camera.  Found several bite marks and almost ripped it off the tree. Cracked the flash cover.  ::)

Also I am ok with others posting pics of the trail cams on this thread.
