Is this arrow material?

They plant this around the park near my house in Colorado.  Anyone know what it is and if it is any good for making arrows?  I would experiment with it, but have zero experience with making arrows.

Looks like Pampas Grass.  Don't know which variety.  Don't think it would make good shafts but not sure.

I think you will find it to be pretty thin walled and light.  might make good frog arrows for a kids bow tho!

nope, it will collapse when you try to shoot it. it is extremly light though!!!
Maybe for a centershot flight bow.

If that's the same stuff that's growing in a pond beside one of our farms it's no good don't take much to break it.
