Quick little knife!
« on: May 19, 2011, 01:29:17 am »
Hi guys wanted to make my new lady friends kid a knife so I had limited stone and ended up using a almost cube of black butter... been awhile and the flaking kinda shows...lol but all in all didnt lose any length and was pretty thin.  It made him happy thats what mattered...   By the way been practicing friend Ken Wallace's drop swing technique using a short moose billet with antler tine pressure flaker...  I definatley have lost my touch but will be back...Thanx for looking!

Time, dedication, cuts, tons of broken rock, a wife, and perhaps a few girlfriends are some of what it takes in becoming a skilled flint knapper!!!
