Hey all. Its been a while since I posted a bow on here. Doesn't mean I haven't been making them though. Anyway, this is my first birch bow. Cut the tree down a couple months ago. Im not sure but I think it is yellow birch. Bark was grey but i dont know if the bark changes as it gets older, cause this tree was only about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Just want to say that whatever birch it is i love the wood. Great stuff. So bow specs, 59" ntn, 50 lbs @ 26", had dried into about 1 1/4" of reflex before starting. keeps about 3/4" reflex after unstringing. Round 13 oz. Will have finished pics later.
