What a day in the woods!
« on: April 23, 2011, 06:24:34 pm »
I started the day by tagging my last Tennessee gobbler of the season @6:10. Then dropped by my favorite "dry land fishin hole" and found a good mess.
While I was out in the yard dressing the first bird I had one gobbling every few minutes across the field in front of my house. Once I finished up with the first bird, I grabbed my gun and headed over there! He sure looked perty strutting in those last few yards. I knew he was just a 2 year old but I just had to shoot him. It was 1:00  >:D
So that ends it.... Six nice gobblers, several mushrooms and 13 pounds later. My Turkey season is over :'(....... ;D

Nice morning, Shannon, couldn't be much better. But, when it comes to keeping score, glad we don't play golf. :D

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I'm not sure what I like the most...the turkeys or the mushrooms!  ;) Went looking Saturday and couldn't find any, think they're mostly on their way out here or I'm just looking in the wrong places.
