I like the solid polls on those hawks.  The added weight helps drive the bit deep and gives better control.  They are also more useful than a wrapped head because you can use the poll for driving stakes for tents, tapping in splitting wedges, smashing your camp mates fingers when they reach for the last grilled pork chop, etc! 

Very nice, very nice indeed.  I covet them deeply!

JW, last year we made a bunch of wrap around throwin hawks an this year Chris showed us his collection of camp throwin hawks an every body wanted one of the multi use hawks. A little more work in the multi use type hawks 2 welds vs. one but well worth it. ;D ;D ;D Bob
