« on: March 15, 2011, 01:00:09 pm »
Hello to all,

Im new to knaping and was wonder if there were any guys in texas who wouldnt mind meeting with me and giving me a helping hand getting started. I have all the tools and rock, just need some good hands on instruction. I live in Del Rio, TX; is there anyone close to me?

We have a knap-in in Odessa every month...but it's a little far for you (I think).
Any critter tastes good with enough butter on it.

Brother just gave up the deer lease out there this year. Otherwise i'd be more than happy to sit in the desert and knap with ya :).

By the way: I scoured that place for flint - didn't find any but did find a few points. Have you located a source for rock out there. If you watch some youtubes on knapping and ask around on here, you'll be on your way. Welcome aboard!
