« on: November 19, 2010, 02:17:01 pm »
I had a little time off so i knapped some. the white one is quartz, the left one is green sheen obsidian and the right is novaculite and i have not finished it. hope you enjoy and keep on knapping because i like pictures. the last picture is where i knapp my backyard.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

Bill it was a piece of white quartz given to me by a friend who found it in a plowed field, it is local from near Troy NC. He likes to look for arrowheads and sometime finds large flakes.

Back in the late 70's I had a drill rig in Troy prospecting for gold. We were at an old Confederate Army mine site out side of town. I came home with a bunch of quartze crystals around 6" long from that area, and clear.

Nice  place to engage in your hobby.  Can't wait to see the novaculite finished and posted.
