crown terminology

what exactly does this mean?  i have a stave i am working on that has a dip or what i consider to be crown from side to side and more in the handle area.  does anyone have a picture of what this means?   i am kind of new at dealing with this and want to be able to strt in the right direction.

The way I understand the definition of crown in terms of bow building is the curvature of the back of the bow from splitting the bow out of a round log.  The smaller the diameter of the original log, the more severe the crown of your stave will be.  I drew a picture with Microsoft paint hope this makes sense.  The red arrows shows the splitting of the log.
