I have been thinking about making some footed arrows. After gluing the foot to the shaft, what is the best method of removing the excess material? Should I use a router, dowel maker, belt sander, wood plane, or files?

I use a belt sander to take off the wings. Then I round the footing with a plane, rasp and sandpaper.
