Hickory shafts

I've never used these for arrows, but I was wondering if since hickory likes to soak up moisture, do you guys that use them ever find them picking up weight due to moisture, even if they are properly sealed? And part 2 of the question is, does anybody have any hickory or ash shafts that they'd like to trade? If so, what would you need?

      I use the same fininish on the arrows as my bows....50/50 pitch and grease....and they dont pick up any moisture at all. I usually make mine up as needed since there isn't much hickory in my area. I have some 3/8" hickory sanded up but they are cut to 28" length.....if that's long enough be happy to send ya some (believe I got something like a couple dozen out there)....no trade needed.
      Also Ken 75 does a lot of work with hickory and he might have some, or could turn ya some....hope that helps ya out.
