AR. Rock run
« on: May 25, 2010, 12:16:48 pm »
I went to the Magnet cove Novaculite quarry last weekend and loaded up. Mr Parker , the man who runs the opp is a heck of a guy, him and the guys he has working for him blasted out a few tons of rock. I spent 2 days spalling and cleaning up spalls i ended up with about 600lbs of some killer rock.
Here is my kiln finished and rdy to cook rock, This kiln was a challenge for me and I'm very proud of it.

Nice haul, Jesse. That Novaculite is some sweet stuff. Sounds like my relatives live there, too, Wade.

Time, dedication, cuts, tons of broken rock, a wife, and perhaps a few girlfriends are some of what it takes in becoming a skilled flint knapper!!!
