all right.people say that the string is 2 inch's from the notch's when stringing a bow..SO,is there any thing wrong with going low than that to get more brace height....i hope i wrote this right...inside of my head is like an episode of that 70s show

I think its 4in. for a long bow and 3in. for a recurve

no, there's no reason why you can't simply twist the string- in order to shorten it a bit- to increase the brace height.
