bees wax on string

I was wondering what the best way of applying bees wax on a flemish twist string is. I've never used it and would like to give it a try, going back in time for a while. How is it done? pics would be good too but I could be pushing it too far lol!

I would just string the bow and briskly rub the wax into the string.  The faster you rub it in, the warmer it gets and the deeper it penetrates the fibers of the string.  Some people use a small piece of leather for this but I just use my fingers.   Anyways that is the way I do it.   Hope this helps.

I do like Josh said but I do use a small piece of leather to rub it in. If you put tension on the string and rub vigorously with the leather you will heat the wax and string, allowing the wax to penetrate the string...plus it will help to pre-stretch the string.

leather is good thats what i use. just rub it like it stole your lunch box, and you will feel it warm up and see it to. the string will shine.

ive done it both ways fingers and leather
i find the leather makes it easier to develop more heat soak in the wax better
but it also leaves colored strings looking dirty

I cheat.....I use Beeswax Bars....rub it on the String....get a good coating....then heat it slowly with a Hair Dryer as you rub in briskly with your fingers....don't get it Hot....just warm enough to make it penetrate good.......
