First self made hafted points
« on: July 20, 2009, 09:00:19 pm »
I've got a small lathe in my studio set up for little stuff. I turned these hickory foreshafts with a tendon that slips inside the cane shafts. Pine pitch and artificial sinew to mount the points and these shoot pretty good. These are my first hafted points. Seems like most of the flint I chip ends up mounted on a stick or in a war club.

grunt, I like your stuff for what I can see. Can ya make your pics a bit larger unless your cam is set at a lower megapixal then it won"t Matter. Ya can use paint program in windows to reduce the photos without distorting clarity. I myself learn a lot from Veteran Bowers if I can see what they are Making.
If you have any Questions about photo editing or the windows system let me know By PM I am computer literate.Phillip

Nice!  I have yet to try my hand at knapping but someday I hope to make something as good as those.
