akapak the dye is a leather dye called fiebings, I saw gordon used it in his hazelnut build along and when i saw it at the store i picked up a bottle. I used the british tan colour.
Old bow good eye you've got. so far the oceanspray has been for arrows only, but i'm keeping my open for some bigger stuff and i think i may have found it. although being said my my roommate has a sinew backed oceanspray. from a pretty small piece, maybe 25 pounds.
