Very well made bow and a worthy tribute to our Veterans! Is this red oak?

The bow is bamboo backed hickory. I used black aniline dye and hit the bamboo nodes with red paint. Black and red, veterans colors.

Oh boy, you just planted a seed. I like giving my bows a theme. the CAR ribbon will cross many boundary's of time and will pertain to just about all vets. Can't wait to get started on the bow.

Beautiful bow, it would be great to see more closeups/detail shots of your bows. They're awesome.
